Reddit Co-Founder accused of Hacking MIT Computers

New York Times has reported that Reddit co founder Aaron Swartz has been indicted for stealing more than 4 million documents from the highly prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) .

The report further says "The charges were filed by the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, Carmen M. Ortiz, and could result in up to 35 years in prison and a $1 million fine."

This seems to be the age of scandals. One after other,  we get to hear so many of them, wonder if our generation cares about ethics at all ? The irony is that, the newspaper who has reported this, is owned by none other than the media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who is currently under fire for using highly unethical practices (read wide scale phone tapping ) for his newspapers. There go down the standards of yesteryears :-(

Also, for an effective Social Media campaign that actually works,

  1. That's ironic that it's one of Murdock's papers that reported the story. I wonder if it's true?
